The Suunto X-Lander combines exclusive looks with the rock solid construction. The calendar watch is pre-programmed to the year 2089, has three daily alarms, and a stopwatch with split time measurement and a countdown timer. It has also an adjustable altitude alarm, as well as several memory functions. The electronic compass displays the cardinal or half-cardinal point, and the north-south arrow and can display bearings with three-degree accuracy. I was somewhat please, but numbers are a little dificult to see in daylight. And you need to go to school to understand all its fiturees. And it came without a case.

I bought this watch for the altimeter for climbing in Colorado - I recently went in January and it worked nearly perfect! Every location I could find an elevation marker, the watch was within 10 feet. The thermometer works well also, it just cannot be on your wrist to read the temp correctly.
The watch looks great, I wear it to work nearly every day. I would highly recommend it.

Looks great, functions great. Manual is a little daunting and a couple of the words on the display are very small. I have 20/20 vision and I can’t always read everything that is being displayed. It is mostly in the Alt and Barometer functions where there is lots of info being shown.
Highly recomended.
Buyers Beware! by Jeffry J. Klinkenberg
The watch is huge, but the typeface is tiny. In fact, you’ll wish you had a magnifying glass when you need to look at p.m. or a.m. or read the barometer.
Watchstrap is cheap looking. This is the most disappointing Suunto product ever. Might look into the Timex Helix. Does all the same things, with a larger typeface at a third of the price.
